PhD position
at the Collaborative Research Centre 990, Georg-August-Universität Goettingen
The position is in the scientific project A02 “Tree and palm water use characteristics in the working group Tropical Silviculture and Forest Ecology”.
The position will be limited to 3 years and should be filled as soon as possible. The salary is in accordance with the German public service salary scale (TV-L E13) with 65%, which corresponds to 25.87 working hours per week.
The project / your duties
Rainforest transformation alters ecosystem water cycles with respect to the magnitude of fluxes, their spatial heterogeneity and their temporal variability. We address the spatial and temporal variability in plant water use across sites as well as mechanisms controlling tree and palm water use. The methods include different sap flux techniques and an airborne screening of canopy leaf temperatures.
Your profile
