XIV Workshop of the Silva Mediterranea

Main objectives of the meeting will be to share progresses and actively work on some of the ongoing activities, discuss the participation of the WG to the upcoming VII Mediterranean Forest Week (Turkey, 21-25 March 2022), and agree on the work plan for the upcoming six months. The event will also represent an occasion to share updates on relevant FAO urban forestry-related initiatives and programmes, including the FAO Green Cities Initiative, and the Green Urban Oases Programme.

The workshop will be organised as follows:

10.00-11.00: Thematic webinar: “Mainstreaming Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity in Peri-Urban Forest Park Creation: Experience From Eastern Europe”, held as part of the TreeCities4MED – Webinar series 

11.00-13.00/14.00-16.00: Creation of two working sessions of two hours each. A dedicated slot within one of the two sessions will be allocated for voluntary presentations from the members of the WG.
