PhD in the framework of the FoodBioSystems Doctoral Training Partnership
The University of Reading working with Cranfield University is seeking applications for a PhD on the topic of “Integrating trees into arable systems to improve soil health and provide resilience to climate change”.
The PhD is within the framework of the FoodBioSystems Doctoral Training Partnership which is organising up to 36 PhD projects in subject areas that span the entire food value chain and therefore looking for students from a broad range of scientific backgrounds to begin their PhDs in autumn 2022. Research projects are co-supervised across two institutes within the academic partnership in place and, following the PhD, all DTP students will carry out a professional internship (generally not related to the research project).
Some of the current researchers have shared their experience of being DTP students at the 6 partner universities. Take a look at the video here: https://research.reading.ac.uk/foodbiosystems/meet-our-researchers/
