“From space to land management: remote sensing technologies supporting sustainable development and natural resource management”
Hosted by the University of Florence (Italy), AIT2018 is the IX Conference of the Italian Society of Remote Sensing. AIT2018 is an important event to stimulate the cooperation between research institutions, remote sensing users, and industry.
FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS
The themes covered by AIT2018 are all those inherent to Remote Sensing, proximal sensing, and related spatial analysis techniques. More specifically AIT2018 is focused on:

- RS for sea, lakes and coastal environments and more in general for water monitoring

- Atmosphere monitoring, climate, and meteorological applications
- RS for land use and land cover monitoring
- RS for defense and security

- Sensors and platforms development for earth observation
- Proximal sensing and UAV
- COPERNICUS and new Sentinel missions
Methods
- Methods and algorithms development for pre-processing and analysis of remotely sensed data from active and passive systems (optical, radar and LiDAR)
- Image and signal processing
- Interpherometric methods for SAR data elaboration
- Methods for time series analysis
- Methods for the extraction and estimation of biophysical variables
- Methods for data fusion and for the integration of information from multiple sources
- Spatial modelling and GIS applications based on RS data
- Computation intensive systems and “big data” in RS
Important dates
31 March: abstract submission
15 April: notification of abstract acceptance
31 May: deadline for early-bird reduced fee payment
31 December: deadline for the submission of full contributions for publication
