Faculty Sabbatical in Forest Biometrics

MB&G is inviting applications from faculty specializing in forest biometrics to spend their sabbatical leave with our firm in Portland, Oregon. We can provide office space, IT support, and a great work environment for a short stay, depending on the university policy.
As a visiting faculty member at MB&G, you will:
Get some “real-world” experience in forest management, inventory, growth and yield, cruising, planning, and applied statistics, and bring it back to the classroom;
Have the opportunity to work and collaborate with our Inventory and Biometrics staff in Portland, as well as exposure to our forest planning and economics, land management, environmental services, and geospatial services personnel and projects;
Be located in a work environment conducive to getting your research and writing accomplished;
Gain experience with a well-respected and long-standing natu ral resources consulting firm;
Work in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, with access to 165,000 acres of timberland we manage in western Washington, Oregon, and California.
We are interested in applications from faculty interested in seeing the issues we deal with and willing to offer suggestions or expertise that  reflect the state of the art in forest inventory, growth and yield modeling, and forest biometrics.
