FireSmart is a project of the 7th Framework Programme funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement 243840-FIRESMART), which aim is to promote Sustainable Forest Management for the Prevention of Forest Fires in Europe as well as awareness of society in this area. The project has among its objectives the highlighting and dissemination of base knowledge and best practices in the field of forest fire prevention.

To promote awareness FireSmart calls FIRESMART PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST for forest fires prevention in two categories: Youth and Adults.
