Candidate must demonstrate (1) a background in forest sciences, plant ecology or related disciplines, (2) knowledge in one of these fields: wood anatomy, ecophysiology, plant phenology, tree growth; (3) skills in statistics and data analysis, and an interest in modelling; (4) ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing; (5) self- motivation, critical thinking. A driving licence is required. Candidates with backgrounds in mathematics and statistics may be considered if willing to apply their knowledge in ecology.

The University is located in a French-speaking Province at the border between the temperate and the boreal forest. More information on the lab is available at UQAC and CEF.
