The Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU and the IUCN European Regional Office kindly invite you to join our virtual event Restoring Europe’s forests for people and the planet to celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity (on 22 May) in the context of the future of forests in Europe. The restoration of these ecosystems will be a fundamental tool in tackling the twin crises of biodiversity loss and climate change, while at the same time the EU Forest Strategy must ensure coherence of forest-related policies and allow synergies with the forest-based sector.
