Youth Regional Workshop in preparation of the XV World Forestry Congress

Youth play an integral part of the Forestry sector. For this reason, the Major Group Children and Youth to the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF MGCY) invites youth from Europe and Northern America to one of the four regional workshops that will help develop the XV World Forestry Congress Youth Declaration. 

Through youth’s experience in the forest sector, the goal is to better understand how meaningful inclusion of young people in NGOs, the private sector, academia and the public sector can be further strengthened. SISEF, as Member of the Silva Mediterranea Network, will join the discussion about the challenges that youth face, the best-practices of youth inclusion, and which further support young people need in order to facilitate joint efforts to a sustainable future. The outcomes of these regional workshops will lead to the development of the XV World Forestry Congress Youth Declaration.

This Youth Declaration will be presented during the XV World Forestry Congress.
