Position available: Lecturer/Senior lecturer in Forest Ecology, New Zealand
University of Canterbury invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (equivalent to an Associate Professor in the US-EU System) in Forest Ecology. The level of appointment will depend on the successful candidate’s relevant experience.
The successful applicant will undertake research, supervise postgraduate students and develop links with the New Zealand forestry sector, as well as collaborate with other academics in the School’s teaching, research and administrative activities. You will teach courses on Forest Biology, Environmental Forestry and Restoration Ecology.
You will be encouraged to develop a strong, externally-funded research programme in forest ecology that is relevant to New Zealand’s natural and planted forests. You will also be expected to develop links with and contribute to the wider forestry sector at local, national and international levels.
