DESCRIPTION:Save The Date: 14 Ottobre 2021 ore 14:30 \n\n\n\nIl percorso europeo verso la neutralità climatica\, che vede l’azzeramento delle emissioni nette di gas serra per 2050\, e la crescente domanda in Europa di risorse forestali per accompagnare questa transizione ecologica costituiscono una congiuntura favorevole per la valorizzazione della filiera legno in Toscana. \n\n\n\nL’opzione di promuovere specie arboree capaci di elevata produttività come la douglasia\, anche in condizioni ambientali in rapida evoluzione\, rappresenta un’opportunità e al contempo una sfida di come gestire in senso ecologico l’intera filiera. Oggetto del convegno organizzato dall‘Accademia dei Georgofili è quello di fornire uno stato dell’arte e di avanzamento del Progetto Do.Na.To riguardo a obiettivi strategici come l’idea di ridurre i costi ambientali ed economici della coltivazione della douglasia grazie a una selvicoltura finalizzata alla rinnovazione naturale\, sostenendo una filiera toscana attraverso una pianificazione sovra-aziendale e valorizzandone il legname con forme d’impiego alternative che siano più remunerative rispetto alle attuali destinazioni. \n\n\n\nPer partecipare all’incontro è necessario compilare il seguente form entro le ore 17.00 di mercoledì 13 ottobre 2021. Today it has 38 Member Nations on five Continents. The IPC achieves its objectives through technical exchange\, standard setting\, and the conservation and sustainable use of fast-growing trees. Traditionally\, poplars and willows have been the main interest of the IPC; in 2019 however\, the IPC broadened its scope to include other fast-growing trees that sustain people and the environment. \n\n\n\nFast-growing trees are an important component of forestry and agricultural production systems worldwide. Often\, these production systems are owned by small-scale farmers and support their livelihoods. Moreover\, fast-growing trees are an efficient and established means to produce wood\, fuel\, restore degraded land\, and sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Fast-growing tree species can contribute greatly to prosperous societies based on climate-friendly economies that make greater use of raw materials produced by trees. To achieve this\, new scientific knowledge and its applications must be demonstrated. \n\n\n\nIn the years since the IPC community last met in Berlin\, Germany (2016)\, scientists and practitioners have generated a wealth of information (e.g.: in molecular genetics\, breeding\, plant physiology\, pathology and ecology). This body of knowledge represents an indispensable resource from which new applications will surely emerge. The IPC has chosen the theme of the 26th Session of the IPC\, “The role of Salicaceae and other fast-growing trees in trees in economic recovery\, sustainable wood supplies and climate change mitigation”\, in view of the current challenges in moving towards green\, bio-based and climate-smart economies and the opportunities offered by fast-growing trees to contribute to these developments. The subjects to be discussed during this Session will contribute to the sustainable production of raw materials for future plant-based economies at various scales\, and the related issues of climate change adaptation and mitigation; resilience against disasters\, threats and crises; biodiversity conservation; landscape restoration; and sustainable agriculture and forestry.

Recentemente è stata sviluppata la terapia forestale come strumento di cura e prevenzione medica in termini psicofisiologici\, mentre è da tempo conosciuto il ruolo ecologico di alberi e foreste per la conservazione della biodiversità e per garantire la salubrità degli ambienti rurali\, urbani e peri-urbani. Inoltre\, gli alberi ed i boschi sono una risorsa con produzioni legnose e non-legnose rinnovabili e sostenibili e con filiere che garantiscono il presidio di territori marginali. DESCRIPTION:Workshop di approfondimento e confronto tra ricercatori e settori produttivi\n\n\n\nPARTECIPAZIONE LIBERA AL LINK:https://unito.webex.com/unito/j.php?MTID=m5f3b6f094be85e8912fe363811a73417  \n\n\n\nPossiamo realisticamente proporre il legno come materiale da costruzione su larga scala?  \n\n\n\nPer rendere concreta tale possibilità è indispensabile ragionare e lavorare tutti insieme al fine di raggiungere obiettivi sostenibili\, senza incorrere al contrario in profonde delusioni.  \n\n\n\nIl workshop sarà occasione per dibattere su alcuni temi fondamentali: 1) i legni sono diversi e\, in funzione delle loro caratteristiche\, idonei a differenti impieghi;2) è necessario contestualizzare l’utilizzo di questa risorsa in un quadro socio-culturale che varia notevolmente a seconda del luogo in cui si opera;3) occorre differenziare chiaramente il legno massiccio dai prodotti ingegnerizzati da esso derivati;4) bisogna estendere l’orizzonte progettuale oltre la fase di collaudo\, considerando l’intero ciclo di vita delle strutture in legno. \n\n\n\nQuesto primo incontro vuole essere l’inizio di un percorso di approfondimento e confronto che veda i tecnologi del legno come parte attiva dei processi cui stiamo assistendo. \n\n\n\nScarica la Locandina (include il Programma dei lavori) \n\n\n\nWorkshop SISEF 20 maggioDownload

SUMMARY:Landscape management smart solutions for wildfire risk mitigation
DESCRIPTION:Under future climate change scenarios\, all EU countries may undergo increased risk of wildfires\, and therefore civil protection and global emergency management will become increasingly important\, overall to deal with large-scale and sever fires. These typologies of wildfires affecting forests nowadays are not just a factor of risk for forest but a global emergency involving forest values\, Civil Protection and land planning.  \n\n\n\nResilience of forests and landscapes to wildfires can be improved through the fuel and land management in a cost-efficient\, sustainable and multi-objective manner\, promoting in parallel the bioeconomy in rural/peri-urban areas\, the wildfire risk mitigation and copying capacity of vulnerable areas and the adaptation to climate change. \n\n\n\nThis webinar will show a new initiative related to the solutions that landscape management offers to prevent wildfires: an online repository of landscape solutions to prevent wildfires\, thanks to the PREVAIL project funded by the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism\, in collaboration with the Pau Costa Foundation. \n\n\n\nPREVAIL (PREVention Action Increases Large fire response preparedness) project aims at demonstrating that the close link between fuel management\, preparedness and response to fire is more than a mantra. DESCRIPTION:E’ possibile partecipare all’evento previa iscrizione alla pagina: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_9bfGdEHiQZqWufd9WpDIrA  \n\n\n\nCentro Studi di Estimo e di Economia Territoriale \n\n\n\nIl Centro Studi di Estimo e di Economia territoriale organizza un incontro di studio sul tema della gestione delle pinete litoranee alla luce della normativa paesaggistica\, prendendo spunto dalla pronuncia del Consiglio di Stato del giugno scorso inerente la pineta del Tombolo di Grosseto (24/06/2020\, n. 01233). La sentenza\, rispondendo ad un contenzioso in merito alla attuabilità di un piano di interventi antincendio\, affronta il tema del regime dei boschi soggetti a vincolo paesaggistico. Il caso è emblematico dei possibili conflitti nella gestione del patrimonio pubblico\, pur nel perseguimento di uno stesso obiettivo di valorizzazione sociale di tali risorse. Un aspetto rilevante nella gestione del patrimonio forestale pubblico\, soprattutto in presenza di beni come quelli in oggetto sottoposti a specifici regimi vincolistici\, è rappresentato da un non sufficiente coordinamento e dialogo tra istanze diverse quali possono essere quelle di natura paesaggistica\, ambientale\, selvicolturale ed economica. Partendo dall’analisi della disciplina giuridica relativa al regime autorizzatorio del bosco\, alla luce del Codice dei Beni culturali e del paesaggio e del Testo Unico in materia di foreste e filiere forestali\, il web seminar ha come obiettivo quello di affrontare le problematiche sopra menzionate. In questa prospettiva\, l’incontro può anche rappresentare un’occasione di confronto fra tutti i diversi soggetti coinvolti nella gestione del patrimonio forestale\, per favorirne il dialogo e promuovere forme di gestione condivisa che\, partendo dalla conoscenza delle reciproche competenze\, permettano la migliore valorizzazione delle risorse pubbliche.  \n\n\n\nPer partecipare all’evento è obbligatoria l’iscrizione. Ai partecipanti\, iscritti all’Albo dei Dottori Agronomi e dei Dottori Forestali\, verranno attribuiti 0.312 CFP ai sensi del Regolamento della Formazione 3/2013 dei Dottori Agronomi e dei Dottori Forestali.

DESCRIPTION:Associazione Baddesalighes\, Sardinia\, Str. Badde Salighes Bolotana\, Province of Nuoro 08011 Italy \n\n\n\nFor land managers\, forestry managers\, fire practitioners\, local community representatives\, civil protection\, scientists\, etc. Participants from all across Europe are welcome \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring thousands of years\, Sardinia\, as other Mediterranean regions\, developed a socio-ecological mosaic landscape composed by agriculture\, forest and shrublands. Nowadays\, the idea of mosaic is still considered as one of the best infrastructures to mitigate the impact of natural hazards\, such us wildfires\, pests and flooding. However\, in the last 60 years\, the migrations due to industrialization from rural to urban areas\, caused a devaluation of rural economies and led to rural abandonment. The impacts of this abandonment are still very visible in the land\, thus dense forest and shrublands now occupy the traditionally managed landscapes. These unmanaged lands generate a much higher risk\, e.g. of large wildfires\, for rural communities and also for urban population living in wildland urban interfaces under highly vulnerable conditions. \n\n\n\nUnderstanding the way societies need to co-exist with natural risks\, enhancing risk mitigation from a bottom-up approach\, encouraging actions done by local communities and discussing the best way to apply traditional land management\, are key actions needed in order to improve risk management. DESCRIPTION:Uno degli obiettivo del Progetto LIFE GoProFor è quello di promuovere le Buone Pratiche in ambito forestale nelle aree Rete Natura 2000. DESCRIPTION:Seminario formativo teorico pratico\, con applicazioni a casi di studioA cura di Gherardo Chirici\, Piermaria Corona\, Lorenzo FattoriniFirenze\, 19 febbraio 2020 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIl seminario si propone di presentare e discutere gli strumenti concettuali e operativi che caratterizzano alcune recenti applicazioni della statistica inferenziale e multivariata e dei metodi di estrazione di informazioni da grandi quantità di dati alle indagini sulle risorse naturali\, con specifico riferimento ai sistemi forestali nelle loro dinamiche ambientali a varie scale di osservazione.
